The Mazda CX-5 really is the ideal CUV for Fredericton families; it’s capable, safe, and spacious enough for the whole family and a bunch of cargo. In fact, our own Team Comeau travels in a CX-5 when they head to tournaments all over Canada. They recently made it to the medal round of the New Holland Canadian Junior Championships that took place in Shawinigan, QC.

We’re incredibly proud to support these young athletes as they compete throughout the province and all over Canada. The CX-5 is the vehicle Team Comeau trusts to get them safely to tournaments, here’s why:

Award – Best Small Utility Vehicle

We wouldn’t want Team Comeau driving in anything but the best CUV available, so it only makes sense that they travel in a Mazda CX-5. For 2018, the CX-5 was named Best Small Utility Vehicle by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC).

“A vehicle really does have to be the very best in its category, and the competition grows tougher every year.”

AJAC President, Mark Richardson

Safety First

Mazda takes safety incredibly seriously, which is easy to see when you’re behind the wheel of a 2018 CX-5. Whether you’re driving around town, or taking the family on a road trip, you’ll drive with confidence knowing that all CX-5 models come with a range of advanced safety features, including low-speed automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.

Cross Traffic Alert

Check out our video where we demonstrate how useful the cross traffic alert feature really is. This feature monitors for pedestrians and traffic when you’re backing up and will alert you if anything approaches your vehicle so you can avoid potential accidents. Backing out of parking spots at the curling rink and grocery store just got a whole lot easier and safer.

The 2018 CX-5 was even recognized as a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). As you can see, when safety is your top priority, the CX-5 is the right decision for you and your family.

Feature-Packed

Whether you’re running errands and making the long journey to a curling tournament a few hours away, the CX-5 is comfortable and packed with useful features to make your drive easy and hassle-free. Even base level CX-5 models come with a range of impressive features.

“Standard equipment for every CX-5 includes 17-inch wheels, LED headlights, a 7-inch touchscreen, a rearview camera, a 40/20/40-split rear seats (fold and recline), a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a four-speaker sound system, Bluetooth, a four-speaker stereo and two USB ports. Low-speed forward collision warning and mitigation and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert are also included.”

As you can see, there’s a lot to love about the 2018 Mazda CX-5. If you’re looking for a CUV that’s affordable, safe, and spacious enough for your family or curling team, you should take the CX-5 for a spin.

Congratulations to Team Comeau for their fine showing at the New Holland Canadian Junior Championships!
